Rescuers rescued a 20-year-old student after she got stuck in a gap between a platform and a train at Duvvada railway station in Visakhapatnam district on Wednesday, December 7. Shashikala was stuck between the platform and the train while alighting from the Guntur-Rayagada express. A first-year MCA (Master of Computer Application) student, she was on her way to college and reached Duvvada from Annavaram. While descending the platform, she slipped and got stuck between the platform and the train, spraining her leg and becoming trapped in the track.
