After the leopard injured a man, it found shelter in a house under construction, so the authorities had to catch the predator.
Security officials and the housing association management are trying to get the leopard out of the area to ensure the safety of the residents.
Meanwhile, the administration has closed public places and parks inside the company’s premises. The Deputy Commissioner (AC) asked the residents to take precautionary measures and stay in their houses.
Islamabad Wildlife Management officials also reached the spot and reported that the leopard had taken shelter in various under-construction houses in the society. Nature conservation officials are still trying to capture the animal.
Last November, a contingent of the Islamabad Metropolitan Police was deployed in Saidpur village after three leopards entered the Margalla Hills area of Islamabad.

The Wildlife Management Board has advised residents to exercise caution and limit their movement while local mosques make the announcement.
In a statement, Wildlife officials said leopards generally do not attack humans, but may attack in panic after seeing large numbers of people.
Meanwhile, a contingent of the Islamabad Metropolitan Police has been deployed in the village and the local administration has asked residents to maintain calm. “In case of emergency, call 15,” the capital’s police said.
