SOMERVILLE, Massachusetts — Several traveler bounced into a waterway and a few others moved out of windows when a Boston-region public travel train burst into flames during the Thursday regularly scheduled drive, authorities said. The fire is the most recent in a line of hazardous issues with the grieved framework.

No wounds were accounted for, and the individual who bounced into the water declined clinical consideration, a representative for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority said in an explanation.

The MBTA’s inbound Orange Line train was crossing the Mystic River only north of Boston, moving toward Assembly station in Somerville at around 6:45 a.m., when blazes and smoke were spotted coming from the lead vehicle, the assertion said. Around 200 travelers were ready, and most were strolled off the train to a close by station by MBTA faculty.
