Gangster Atiq Ahmed’s Son Killed In Police Encounter In Jhansi
Ailing Atiq Ahmed’s son Asad, who is wanted in the Umesh Pal murder case, was reportedly killed in an encounter with the Uttar Pradesh Police in Jhansi. Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf were produced before the CJM District Court today in a murder case.
Another accused, Ghulam, was also shot dead during an encounter with Uttar Pradesh Special Forces, said Special Additional Director General (Law and Order) Prasahant Kumar. “Asad and Ghulam were wanted in the Umesh Pal murder case in Prayagraj and carried a reward of Rs 5 lakh each. They were killed in an encounter with a UP STF team,” he said.
“The UP STF team was led by Deputy SPs Navendu and Vimal. Sophisticated foreign-made weapons were recovered from the accused. More details are awaited,” the officer added.
