A new video has surfaced on social media in which BJP leader and actress Sonali Phogat died after arriving in Goa on August 23 and was forced to drink alcohol on the dance floor.
It is not clear whether the video is from Goa or not, but the person in the video appears to be Sudhir Sangwan, one of two friends of Phogat who were arrested by the Goa police during the investigation into the murder.
The latest video was released a day after another video in which Phoga was seen upset at Curly restaurant in Anjuna Beach. Sangwan helps him. His other friend Sukhwinder Singh was with him when he went to the hotel.
The next morning in St. Anthony, where he died. Earlier, Goa police had flagged this clip.
Inspector General of Police Omvir Singh Bishnoi said that based on CCTV footage, accused Sudhir Sangwan and his associate Sukhwinder Singh were seen partying with a Haryana BJP leader at the district unit.
“The video shows one of them forcing the victim to use the object.”
“During martial law, Sukhwinder and Sudhir admitted that they deliberately mixed the liquid with a poisonous chemical and administered it to the victim,” Bishnoi added in a press conference.
Phogat St. Anthony Anjuna from North Goa was declared dead on the morning of August 23. An autopsy revealed that his body had “several large wounds.”

This is the latest statement by the Goa police after the arrest of a restaurant owner and a drug dealer in connection with Phogat’s murder on Saturday, taking the number of people arrested in the case to four.
Businessman Dattaprasad Gaonkar allegedly supplied drugs to two of his Phogat associates who fed him. Another person arrested on Saturday is Edwin Nunes, owner of Curley’s restaurant.
Sudhir Sagwan and Sukhwinder Singh, who were arrested earlier, told the police that they bought drugs from Gaonkar. Gaonkar and Nunes were arrested under the Narcotic and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS).
