A luxury car caught fire on Mumbai’s Western Express Highway last night. When Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde saw the burning car, he stopped his convoy to help the passenger. The incident took place in the Vile Parle area of the expressway, which is the main north-south thoroughfare in Mumbai. According to PTI, the fire brigade received the report of the fire at 12.25 pm. Two fire tenders rushed to the spot and the fire was doused, a fire official told PTI. No one was injured in the accident, the fire department spokesman added.
