Jhoome Jo Pathaan Song | Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika | Vishal & Sheykhar, Arijit Singh, Sukriti, Kumaar

After multiple controversies involving Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s song Pathaan Besharam Rang, YRF has released the second song from the highly anticipated actioner titled ‘Jhoome Jo Pathaan’. The dance track sees not just Deepika but even superstar SRK grooving to the upbeat music.

The song is composed by the music duo Vishal-Shekhar. It was brought to life by Sukriti and Arijit Singh with lyrics by Kumaar. The song has been shot in scenic settings and will see SRK dancing on screen for the first time in over four years. Both the music video and the song itself are improvements to the film’s first single, Besharam Rang.

In an earlier statement, Pathaan director Siddharth Anand shared that the second number from the film is said to be a tribute to the character of Pathaan himself.

“Jhoome Jo Pathaan is an ode to the Pathaan spirit played by the inimitable Shah Rukh Khan. The song embodies the personality traits of this Pathaan super spy who has an irresistible swagger that is infectious. His energy, his atmosphere, his confidence can make anyone dance. The song is a modern fusion Qawaali and is a celebration of Pathaan’s style and elegance. It’s been a while since we’ve seen SRK groove to music and we hope people will be happy to see their favorite superstar shaking a leg with an attitude to kill,” the director said in an earlier statement.

Pathaan’s first song Besharam Rang ran into controversy after Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra and several right-wing groups protested Deepika’s saffron-colored outfit in the music video. They also expressed their displeasure with the choreography and the actors’ clothing in general.
