Police said he was carrying a backpack containing an AR-15 machine gun and three magazines with several rounds of ammunition.
During the dispute, shots erupted around 2:30 p.m., officials said. Hudson told detectives that deli employees were stealing from his home.
Officials say Hudson went to the deli around 12:30 p.m. that day. On his second visit, the employee was shot in the eye, police said.
