“Costumes worn by actress Deepika Padukone who supports Tukde Tukde gang in the song is very inappropriate, the song was shot with a bad intention. The costumes and sets should be fixed or the film should be allowed to release in Madhya Pradesh.” or not would be up for consideration.”
After the song was released, Boycott Pathaan also started trending on Twitter as many expressed concern over the “vulgar visuals” and displeasure with the saffron bikini the actor is seen in the video.
Many BJP workers, RSS supporters and a few others expressed their displeasure on the microblogging site and mocked scenes from the song.
Additionally, the song came under scrutiny for plagiarism with claims that the song’s beats were lifted from Jain’s song Makeba.
