The market erased the previous session’s losses and finished strong on March 3, with the Sensex closing 899.62 points or 1.53 percent higher at 59,808.97 and the Nifty gaining 272.40 points or 1.57 percent at 17,594.30.
After a solid start, the market extended gains during the day amid buying in Adani Group shares after US-based GQG Partners invested Rs 15,446 crore in the group companies.
With this investment, Adani Group’s market capitalization will increase by Rs 68,351.84 crore in today’s trade.
