Amitabh Bachchan suffers rib injury during Project K shoot in Hyderabad, returns home
Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan said he sustained an injury during the shooting of his upcoming film Project K in Hyderabad.
Big B took to his blog on Sunday to share that he had fractured his rib cartilage and said that he is currently resting at his home in Mumbai.
“In Hyderabad, while shooting for Project K, he injured himself during an action sequence, ruptured his costal cartilage, and tore his right ribcage muscle. The shoot was cancelled, the doctor consulted and CT scan at AIG Hospital Hyderabad and flew back home,” wrote Amitabh Bachchan.
He sustained an injury during an action sequence of the film. Unfortunately, he suffered a muscle tear in his right ribcage.
“Stapling was done and rest was advised… yes painful… for movement and breathing… said it will take a few weeks to get back to normal… some meds for pain too… So all work that was supposed to be done was put on hold and canceled dropped postponed for now , until healing occurs .. resting in Jalsa and somewhat mobile for all major activities .. but yes resting and generally lying down…” Big B wrote.
Expressing his distress, the actor added, “It’s going to be tough or let me say… I won’t be able to meet welfare supporters at Jalsa Gate tonight… so don’t go… and inform as much as you can. those who intend to come… Everything else is fine…” he wrote.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, Project K is a bilingual film shot simultaneously in two languages i.e. Hindi and Telugu at different locations. Deepika Padukone and Prabhas play pivotal roles in the film.
Amitabh Bachchan said in this time of need that he found solace in the words of his ‘Babuji’.
