A video captured the terrifying moments when an entire mountainside came crumbling down and dust filled the air.
An avalanche made piece of a mountain breakdown on Sunday evening in southwestern China. Occupants escaped in dread as the mountain came disintegrating down and residue consumed the space, video film from the scene showed.
In the town of Bijie, which is around 650 miles northwest of Hong Kong, the frenzy in occupants’ voices can be heard in an unnerving video.
“Run rapidly! Run! Stow away, stow away, stow away,” one man can be heard wildly hollering in the video given by the neighborhood media.
After the avalanche, inconsistent falling rocks made the mountain excessively unsteady for search and salvage work to be done right away.
It was only after Monday morning that an on location master group considered the mountain sufficiently stable to complete examinations and search and salvage.
