1 dead, 2 injured after fire breaks out near Parakh Hospital in Mumbai’s Ghatkopar
A fire broke out at Juno’s Pizza near Parakh Hospital in Mumbai’s Ghatkopar area on Saturday afternoon, killing one person and injuring nine others, including four policemen.
According to the Mumbai Fire Service, the fire was reported around 2:00 p.m. After receiving the information, firefighters were dispatched to the spot and brought the fire under control.
According to fire officials, the fire broke out in the meter room of Juno’s Pizza Hotel, located on the ground floor of Vishwas Building near Parakh Hospital.
According to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation officials, nine people, including four policemen, were injured in the fire and were taken to Rajawadi Hospital. One of the injured, identified as Qurshi Dedhia (46), was declared brought dead.
“One of the injured, identified as Taniya Kamble (18), sustained 18 to 20% burns in the fire. The condition of a 30-year-old man injured in the incident is critical,” Chief Medical Officer Rajawadi said. HOSPITAL.
Meanwhile, 22 patients admitted to Parakh Hospital were shifted to another hospital after they complained of breathing difficulties due to the fire.
