Zhou Guanyu In Horror Crash At British Grand Prix As Car Flipped On Chaotic Opening Lap

After a turbulent few minutes, Joe was pulled from the car and carried off the track on a stretcher.
The accident occurred after Mercedes driver George Russell was seen being slightly circumcised by Alpha Tauri’s Pierre Gasly.
The collision forced Russell’s car into Joe’s lane, causing the Alfa Romeo to overturn and crash into the barrier.
After his own car came to a stop, Russell immediately jumped out and ran towards Zhou’s vehicle, apparently to help with rescue efforts.
Both Zhou and Russell were forced to retire, along with Alex Alban of Williams, who was also caught up in the chaos.
However, a controversial decision was then made to restart the race with the original grid row, with Sainz of Ferrari continuing the race from pole position.
Fans were quick to praise Zhou’s car’s Halo impact protection system for possibly saving his life.
“It is a miracle that Zhou Guanyu escaped Alfa Romeo alive. Thank God for hello,” wrote one fan on Twitter.
Another wrote: “Thank God for hello to F1 and F2 cars. Definitely 2 lives saved today because of that,” a fan mentioned another accident that happened the previous day during the F2 race at Silverstone.
