Walmart announces job cuts across five US warehouses
The news comes after Walmart announced plans in March 2023 to cut hundreds of jobs at its U.S. e-commerce fulfillment facilities
The move will affect more than 2,000 employees, including more than 1,000 positions at the retailer's Fort Worth, Texas, warehouse.
In addition, Walmart planned to cut nearly 600 jobs at a distribution center in Pennsylvania, 400 in Florida and about 200 in New Jersey. It also anticipates further reductions in California.
In February 2023, Walmart reported full-year revenue of $611.3 billion for fiscal year 2023 (FY23), up 6.7% from fiscal year 2022 (FY22).
