VIRAL: Alert Pointsman saves passenger’s life dragged under moving train at Kalyan station in Mumbai
An alert pointsman at Kalyan Junction railway station saved the life of a passenger who was about to get overwhelmed below a moving train.
The dramatic video of the incident went viral after it was shared on the Twitter account of Mumbai Division – Central Railway.
The incident happened on 14 November when the Howrah-Mumbai Special train was departing from Kalyan station at around 11:54 AM.
The video shared by Central Railway shows an enormous crowd reacting to a passenger who had fallen between the platform and the moving train. A few seconds into the clip, the pointsman, known as Shivji Singh, runs alongside the running train and manages to drag the passenger out of the gap.
The emergency was spotted by the train passengers, who had reportedly pulled a chain.
