It’s a bird? It’s an airplane? Or is it both? Say hello to the world’s first electric foil racing boat, which recently completed its first test in Italy. The Racebird, an idea of Norwegian designer Sophi Horne, is a 150kW aluminum electric boat developed for the upcoming E1 World Championship.If you take the Po River in San Nezzaro, northern Italy, a prototype version of the racing bird has completed a series of technical tests and system testing with the world champion of EXTOROWOAT LUCA FERRARI behind the wheel.The 800kg single-pilot Racebird will make its debut in the inaugural E1 World Championship, the world’s first series of electric racing boats. The E1 racing series, co-founded by Extreme E creator Alejandro Agag, will feature up to 12 teams and 24 drivers. Race on the water at spectacular global race locations.
