‘Taarak Mehta…’ actress Munmun Dutta uses casteist slur in YouTube video, apologises after controversy
‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ actress Munmun Dutta used casteist slur in a video uploaded by her recently on her YouTube channeal. Netizens called for action against the actress ever since the video was uploaded on the social media platform.
The TV actress has now issued an apology after furore over the use of casteist slur and she has blamed ‘language barrier’ for ignorantly using the word.
The actress has also removed the casteist slur from the video on her YouTube Channel. She said in her apology that ‘she was genuinely misinformed about the meaning of the word due to ‘language barrier’ and she has utmost respect to every single person from every caste, creed or gender.’
