At least Rs 20 crore, 3 gold pieces and many silver coins were seized on Wednesday from the residence of West Bengal Commerce Minister Partha Chatterjee, Arpita Mukherjee, by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Belgachia district.
Kolkata. The new move comes days after Rs 22 crore was found in his Tollygunge apartment in the teachers’ anger scam. Currently, ED and State Bank of India (SBI) officials are at Mukherjee’s house,
where counting has been going on since 4 p.m. Officials said the process could continue until early Thursday morning. Apart from money, gold and coins, many books were also found in Mukherjee’s house.
