Khalistan supporter threatens to slap a Gujarati passerby in London’s Southall
Protests have erupted in the UK since the Punjab government launched a crackdown on Khalistani leader Amritpal Singh and his supporters. Videos of supporters of Khalistan have been surfacing on the internet, and one such viral video showed some protesters taunting a passerby.
A video shared by a news portal called Desh Gujarat shows the supporter harassing passersby. They shared the video and captioned it, “Today’s viral video shows a radical extremist from Khalistan threatening a Gujarati bystander in a foreign country.”
Khalistan supporters could be heard raising pro-Khalistan slogans as one of the protesters blocks a passer-by who happens to be a Gujarati. Wearing a black kurta, an orange turban and holding a Khalistan flag, the protester then attacks a bystander and abuses him in Punjabi, threatening to wage war in his home state. Heckler also threatens to slap him.
He continues his anger even as others try to defuse the situation.
In response to a query, another Twitter user said the video originated in the Southall region of London. The Free Press Journal could not independently verify where exactly the incident occurred.
Many criticized the behavior of the Khalistan supporter, while pro-Khalistan supporters were seen celebrating the behavior of the bastard. Leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party also jumped into the conversation and condemned the troublemakers.
BJP’s Tajinder Singh Sran shifted the blame to India’s neighbours, writing: “They are not Sikhs, they are Pakistani eggs in the guise of Sikhs. Don’t take them seriously.”
Meanwhile, Manjinder Singh Sirsa said, “These are not Sikhs. Sikhism teaches us to live in harmony with one and all. I condemn such bullying. Nothing justifies it.”
