Kerala: Two school teachers spearhead noble cause, build 150 houses for homeless in Kochi

Two Kerala school teachers have built 150 houses for homeless people with donations in Kochi’s Thoppumpady.

Sister Lissy Chakkalakkal along with Lilly Paul has built 150 houses for the homeless over the span of six years.

‘We started House Challenge Project to provide shelter to our students whose families owned land but didn’t have a proper home. Our dream is to make a society free of homelessness by promoting a culture of collaboration and sharing,’ said Sister Chakkalakkal, one of the teachers who started the project.
