To make Kashmir Valley green, thousands of saplings are planted by Forest Department, Security Forces and other civil society groups. Sheikh-ul-Alam Nursery in Budgam district grows variety of plants which are distributed in the entire UT. The saplings are supplied to the entire UT. The nursery also generates employment to local labourers.
