IPL 2021 match 39, RCB vs MI: Royal Challengers Bangalore set a target of 166 runs for Mumbai Indians; score 165/6 in 20 overs

Royal Challengers Bangalore set a target of 166 runs for Mumbai Indians in the match number 39 of IPL 2021 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on September 26.

Earlier, MI skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and invited Virat Kohli-led RCB to bat first.

RCB captain Virat Kohli 51 runs (42 balls, 3 fours, 3 sixes) led from the front and came out to open. He forged a partnership of 68 runs (43 balls) with Srikar Bharat (32 runs, 24 balls, 2 fours, 2 sixes) for the second wicket. After the fall of Bharat, Kohli had a partnership of 51 runs with Glen Maxwell (56 runs, 37 balls, 6 fours, 3 sixes). However, RCB failed to take advantage of the good start as the team added just 9 runs in last 2 overs of the innings. RCB looked set to end well but lost quick wickets in the end to finish at 165/6 in 20 overs.

Jasprit Bumrah (36/3 off 4 overs) was the star bowler for MI. Trent Boult (17/1 off 4 overs), Rahul Chahar (33/1 off 4 overs) and Adam Milne (48/1 off 4 overs) were the other MI bowlers to pick up wickets.
