Chennai Super Kings beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets in the match number 35 of IPL 2021 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on September 24.

Needing 157 runs to win, CSK chased the target in 18.1 overs (11 balls remaining) with 6 wickets in hand.

Ruturaj Gaikwad 38 runs (26 balls, 4 fours, 1 six) and Faf du Plessis laid the foundation of run chase with 71 run partnership for the first wicket in 8.2 overs.

Ambati Rayudu 32 runs (22 balls, 3 fours, 1 six) and Moeen Ali  23 runs (18 balls, 2 sixes) continued for CSK in middle overs, as Suresh Raina 17 not out (10 balls, 2 fours, 1 six) and MS Dhoni 11 runs (9 balls, 2 fours) completed the formality in the end.

Harshal Patel (25/2 off 3.1 overs), Glen Maxwell (17/1 off 2 overs) and Yuzvendra Chahal (26/1 off 4 overs) were the wicket-takers for RCB.

Earlier, CSK skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and invited RCB to bat first.
