Kolkata Knight Riders beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 9 wickets in the match number 31 of the IPL 2021 in Abu Dhabi on September 20.

KKR needed 93 runs to win and the team achieved the target in 10 overs.

Shubman Gill 48 runs (34 balls, 6 fours, 1 six) top-scored for KKR, while fellow opener Venkatesh Iyer 41 not out (27 balls, 7 fours, 1 six) stayed till the end.

Yuzvendra Chahal (23/1 off 2 overs) was the only successful bowler for RCB.

Earlier, RCB skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat against Eoin Morgan-led KKR.

However, RCB couldn’t make good use of the pitch and their wickets kept falling at regular intervals.

Opener Devdutt Padikkal was the top scorer with 22 runs (20 balls, 3 fours). Srikar Bharat 16 runs (19 balls, 1 four) and Harshal Patel 12 runs (10 balls, 2 fours) were the other main contributors for RCB.

Varun Chakravarthy (13/3 off 4 overs) and Andre Russell (9/3 off 3 overs) were the most successful KKR bowlers. Lockie Ferguson (24/2 off 4 overs) and Prasidh Krishna (24/1 off 4 overs) were the other bowlers to pick up wickets.
