IPL 2021 eliminator, RCB vs KKR: Royal Challengers Bangalore set a target of 139 runs for Kolkata Knight Riders; score 138/7 in 20 overs

Royal Challengers Bangalore set a target of 139 runs for Kolkata Knight Riders in the eliminator match of IPL 2021 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on October 11.

Earlier, RCB skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat against Eoin Morgan-led KKR.

RCB scored 138/7 in 20 overs, despite opening stand of 49 runs in 5.1 overs by Virat Kohli 39 runs (33 balls, 5 fours) and Devdutt Padikkal 21 runs (18 balls, 2 fours). No other batsmen could make a significant impact on the score board, as the team kept losing wickets at regular intervals.

In-form middle-order batters Glenn Maxwell 15 runs (18 balls, 1 four), AB de Villiers 11 runs (9 balls, 1 four) and Srikar Bharat 9 runs (16 balls) failed to get going for RCB.

Sunil Narine (21/4 off 4 overs) and Lockie Ferguson (30/2 off 4 overs) were among the wickets for KKR.
