Rest of the Kiwi batsmen failed to get going as Ravichandran Ashwin (23/2 off 4 overs) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (24/2 off 4 overs) applied brakes on Kiwi innings just when the team looked set for a score of around 180 runs.

Suryakumar Yadav was adjudged Man of the Match for his knock of 62 runs (40 balls, 6 fours, 3 sixes).
