A gunman is on the loose in London after two men were shot dead and a third man seriously injured in Ilford.
Police were called by A&E at 12.16 am on Tuesday to Henley Road in Ilford following reports of a fight in progress and shots being fired.
Armed officers responded and found three men with gunshot wounds.
The Met Police said: “One of the victims, aged in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Another victim died a short time later.
“Police believe they know the identity of the 20-year-old victim. Work to confirm the identity of the other man continues. Officers are working to inform the next of kin.
“The third victim, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
“No arrests have been made at this early stage.
“The circumstances are under investigation. Crime scenes and road closures are in place.”
