Fire Break out at a large oil refinery in Punta Cardon, Venezuela
Venezuela Petroleum firefighters were sent to the Cardón refinery to extinguish a fire that started on Monday of this week and is still spreading in the Paraguaná refinery complex.
According to reports, the cause of the incident is currently unknown and authorities have not released any statement.
The incident at the facilities of the Paraguaná refinery complex is said to be the third of its kind in 2022.
A large fire broke out on the night of Monday, December 26, in the Cardón refinery of the Paraguana refinery complex in the state of Falcón, one of the most important oil facilities in the country.
In 2022, three fires were reported in Cardón. The first occurred in May last year in the diesel pool, the second in October in the diesel pool and this one on December 26, which according to experts was of a larger scale.
