Girl student stabbed to death at Bengaluru Presidency College, attacker critical after suicide bid.
Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, a 19-year-old girl was stabbed to death at Presidency College in Bengaluru on Monday.
The attacker also sustained injuries in the incident and is said to be in critical condition in hospital.
According to reports, the girl allegedly did not accept his love offer which prompted him to commit this heinous crime.
Footage emerged from the campus showing college security picking up the victim from under a tree to be taken to an ambulance.
According to information, 21-year-old Pawan Kalyan (BCA student of Nruptunga College) killed Laysmitha (BTech student) at Presidency University campus in Itgalur near Rajankunte.
The attacker stabbed himself, the condition is critical
After killing Laysmitha, Pawan stabbed himself and was admitted to a hospital where his condition is said to be critical.
Local reports claim that Pawan Kalyan was angry with the victim because she rejected his proposal and was in a relationship with another boy.
“Layasmitha flatly rejected Pawan Kalyan’s proposal and the enraged youth barged into the college campus and attacked her with a knife and stabbed her in the neck. He then turned the knife on himself,” police said.
Both belonged to the same village in Kolář.
An official statement from the police is awaited. The matter is under investigation.
