BCCI announces Team India for WTC final, 5-match Test series against England

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced Team India squad for the inaugural ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final and the five-match Test series against England.

India will play WTC Final against New Zealand on June 18-22, while 5-match Test series against England will begin on August 4 and end on September 14.

The All-India Senior Selection Committee picked the 20-member Indian squad, with participation of two players subject to fitness clearance.

Squad: Virat Kohli (Captain), Ajinkya Rahane (Vice captain), Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant (Wicketkeeper), Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, Mohammad Shami, Mohammad Siraj, Shardul Thakur and Umesh Yadav.

KL Rahul and Wriddhiman Saha (Wicketkeeper) will also join the team subject to fitness clearance.

Standby players: Abhimanyu Easwaran, Prasidh Krishna, Avesh Khan and Arzan Nagwaswalla.
