Ludhiana: A 10-year-old boy named Vansh Singh caught the internet’s attention quite recently. The young school dropout was spotted around Punjab’s Ludhiana town selling socks to people on the roads.

Due to this family being extremely poor, Vansh had to resort to this as he had to earn enough money to make ends meet. The video went viral on social media. It was recorded by one of the city-dwellers who had seen him selling socks on the road.

In one of the clips, a person is heard giving him Rs 50 extra as he felt pity for him but the boy refused to take any money.

The video was shared not just on Twitter, but on other social media sites as well. It pained the netizens to see that a young boy is out on the streets trying to keep his family afloat instead of being at school. They believed that there is just too many responsibilities on his shoulders.

Looks like their prayers were heard. Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh saw the video as it went viral. He shared the same on his Twitter page. In fact, he even got in touch with him and spoke to him for a while
